Robert Young Bamboo (Phyllostachys viridis 'Robert Young') is a distinctive bamboo variety, highly prized as an ornamental. Known for its mature yellow canes laced with random,green vertical stripes, its reaches heights of 40' (30 to 35' average) and 3" diameter. It is a moderate grower that prefers part sun to part shade and moist to slightly dry soils.
