Leaf size and texture 'Morning Light' Japanese Silver Grass (Miscanthus sinensis 'Morning Light') are similar to Maiden Grass but white stripes are present at the edges. Its upright, slightly arching variegated leaves add a striking contrast to the landscape. Silver flowers appear in mid summer. Tolerates partial shade but prefers full sun and moist, well drained soil.
