Wonderful powder-blue grass! A great container plant!
Elijah's Blue Fescue (Festuca cinerea 'Elijah's Blue') features icy bluefoliage reaching 8" high that grows in a compact tuft. Wheat colored seed heads grow approximately 4" above the plant in mid-summer. The seed heads can be cut back so the plant can focus its energy on the foliage, making it a more dense tuft. Elijah's Blue Fescue is perfect for garden edging, borders, and in containers as well. Once established, Elijah's Blue is drought tolerant and does best in part shade, although full sun for part of the day is ok. This highly ornamental blue fescuedoes best when planted during the cool seasons.
