Panicum amarum 'Dewey Blue' an upright grass that has beautiful 36" high deep grey blue leaves. It is type of Panicum amarum, a blue gray native grass found in sandy soils from New Jersey to Florida, and from Louisiana to Texas. 'Dewey Blue' performs best in infertile, dry soil in full sun and spreads slowly by rhizomes that send up individual clumps. It's a wonderful choice for difficult, dry, sunny areas in the landscape.
