Panicum virgatum 'Heavy Metal', a variety of Blue Switchgrass, is a stiff upright, clump-forming grass that grows to 48". Its foliage and flowers are a metallic-blue that remains attractive and upright through out the winter. It grows best in full sun and tolerates drought and a wide range of soils.
